Pet Heaven · a community DAO concept for EarthMeta
Pet Heaven
A quiet place for the pets we loved, and a path back to where they lived.
Created by Ninoki (Ifestio)
“They walked beside us for a while. Pet Heaven keeps a place for them.”
The idea
Soul Path: Pet Heaven is a gentle, emotional feature for EarthMeta: local digital memorial gardens where people can honour the pets they have lost. I first described it as a community concept for EarthMeta in July 2025, as Ifestio (Ninoki).
Each memorial becomes a keepsake NFT, created once and kept in its owner's wallet. Friends and family can light virtual candles with a small contribution, a real, heartfelt use for EMT. And a share of every tribute goes to animals who are still waiting for a home.
What it aims for
- Emotional value: lasting memorials and tributes in places that mean something.
- Local care: city owners look after the memorial gardens in their own cities.
- Open to everyone: EMT holders and people new to crypto alike, with simple card payment and a friendly guide.
- Privacy first: the real-world places behind a memory stay private.
- Kindness that spreads: every tribute also helps shelters and rescued animals.
Local memorial gardens
Where a city has a real pet cemetery, its memorial garden sits at the matching place in EarthMeta's digital twin of the Earth. Where it has none, the garden is set on the quiet edge of the city, in a meadow, a cherry grove or a woodland, so the main landmarks and squares stay untouched. Larger cities can hold more gardens than smaller ones.
- City owners shape the gardens in their city: the design (a meadow with butterflies, a grove with falling petals), who may visit, and the moderation.
- Public parcels and cities without an owner use shared community templates, cared for by the DAO.
- Private parcels host a garden only with the owner's consent, asked for through EarthMeta and rewarded in EMT.
- Local character: each garden reflects its place, with plants, AR effects and sounds such as birdsong.
Memorials and keepsake NFTs
A memorial is created once, as a keepsake NFT, with EMT or by card. There are a few kinds: a simple, light memorial with a 2D photo; a classic memorial with a 3D animation of the pet and special AR effects; and a real-world-linked memorial, for example with a physical certificate and QR code.
- Made from the pet's own story: photos and, optionally, documents or a pedigree help create a faithful 2D portrait or 3D animation. A single photo is enough for a simple memorial.
- What it holds: the pet's name, dates, a few words, a chosen design (stone, tree, statue, wreath) and a private, anonymised link to where the pet lived.
- Private or public: visible only to the owner and invited people, or open to visitors of the garden in AR.
Soul Path
At a memorial, “Soul Path” takes you in EarthMeta to the place where the pet lived: a house, a garden, a park. There, in AR, a soft silhouette or animation appears – a dog running across the yard, a cat dozing in the park – with effects that match the garden, like petals or butterflies.
The memorial remembers the place as it was when it was created, so the path still works if a parcel changes hands. If a place can't be visited, a calm neutral meadow appears instead. It runs on ordinary smartphones, light enough for older phones too.
Candles and tributes
Anyone can leave a tribute at a public memorial, or at a private one they have been invited to:
- An AR candle that glows for a day, such as a heart-shaped light.
- A candle pass, a small NFT that keeps a light or a glowing wreath burning for a longer season, and can be renewed. When it ends, it is retired (burned), always with the owner informed in advance.
Each candle is a small contribution in EMT, or by card with EMT bought automatically in the background. Every tribute is shared between the city owner who hosts the garden, the care and growth of the gardens and the platform, the community that designs and moderates them, and animals in need. Regular visitors can be thanked with special effects or discounts.
For shelters and rescue groups
Pet Heaven is about the animals we lost, and also about the ones still waiting. A share of every candle and every memorial supports animal shelters, rescue groups and abused animals.
- Local partners: city owners can propose shelters and rescue groups from their own cities.
- Philanthropists and animal welfare groups can take part: sponsor a garden, light candles for animals without a family, or host remembrance days with their community.
- Transparency: how the charity share is used is published openly for the community.
Privacy and care
- No home addresses: places are stored as EarthMeta parcels, never as real addresses, and anyone can choose a general area instead of an exact spot.
- Private by default: documents and exact places are visible only to the memorial's owner; public memorials show only a general location.
- Encrypted and deleted: photos and documents are encrypted, used only to create the memorial, and then removed.
- Gentle moderation: community moderators look over texts and designs.
For everyone
- City owners design, run and moderate their gardens, and share in every tribute.
- EMT holders create memorials and candles, with benefits for staking.
- People new to crypto pay by card and can try a simple memorial first.
- A friendly guide in the EarthMeta app explains memorials and candles in plain words: choose a design, add a photo, confirm.
How it would be built
- Blockchain: Ethereum, where EarthMeta's cities, lands, marketplace and the EMT token (ERC-20) now live. Memorials and candles would be EarthMeta assets on the same network.
- AR: EarthMeta's AR mobile app, which brings cities and landmarks into the real world through the smartphone camera. Soul Path, memorials and candles would become experiences inside it.
- 3D memorials: EarthMeta's AI Builder, which turns a description or an image into a 3D model anchored to real coordinates – a natural way to shape a pet's portrait or memorial design.
- Map: EarthMeta's 1:1 digital twin of the Earth, where a “Memorial gardens” view could show the gardens city by city, including real pet cemeteries where they exist.
- City owners already decide what is created in their cities; they would design and moderate their gardens, with community templates for public ones.
Growing together
Memorial days, when city owners open their gardens for shared candle-lighting. A “Remember your pet” welcome for new visitors. Friendships with pet creators, animal charities and adoption apps. And, if Pet Heaven grows, perhaps playful events for living pets one day – and, respectfully and gently, a place to honour the people we have loved, too.
As a community DAO concept, its final shape – features, number of gardens, the details of every share – is meant to be decided together, by the governors of EarthMeta.
This is an evolving concept – details of the project may change.
Independent community concept, not an official EarthMeta feature.
